신명기 15:4-6

당신들 가운데 가난한 사람이 없게 하십시오. 그러면 주 당신들의 하나님이 당신들에게 유산으로 주어 차지하게 하시는 땅에서 당신들이 참으로 복을 받을 것입니다.

주 당신들의 하나님의 말씀을 잘 듣고, 오늘 내가 당신들에게 명한 이 모든 명령을 다 지키면,

주 당신들의 하나님이 당신들에게 말씀하신 대로 복을 내려 주실 것입니다. 당신들이 많은 민족에게 돈을 꾸어 주기는 하겠지만 꾸지는 않겠고, 또 당신들이 많은 민족을 다스리기는 하겠지만 다스림을 받지는 않을 것입니다.

4 There will, however, be no one in need among you, because the Lord is sure to bless you in the land that the Lord your God is giving you as a possession to occupy, 5 if only you will obey the Lord your God by diligently observing this entire commandment that I command you today. 6 When the Lord your God has blessed you, as he promised you, you will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow; you will rule over many nations, but they will not rule over you.

요한1 4:20-21

누가 하나님을 사랑한다고 하면서, 자기 형제자매를 미워하면, 그는 거짓말쟁이입니다. 보이는 자기 형제자매를 사랑하지 않는 사람이 보이지 않는 하나님을 사랑할 수 없습니다.

하나님을 사랑하는 사람은 자기 형제자매도 사랑해야 합니다. 우리는 이 계명을 주님에게서 받았습니다.

 20 Those who say, “I love God,” and hate their brothers or sisters, are liars; for those who do not love a brother or sister whom they have seen, cannot love God whom they have not seen. 21 The commandment we have from him is this: those who love God must love their brothers and sisters also.

마가 1:14-15

요한이 잡힌 뒤에, 예수께서 갈릴리에 오셔서, 하나님의 복음을 선포하셨다.

"때가 찼다. 하나님의 나라가 가까이 왔다. 회개하여라. 복음을 믿어라."

14 Now after John was arrested, Jesus came to Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God,

 15 and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near; repent, and believe in the good news.”
