9.      그 무렵에 예수께서 갈릴리 나사렛으로부터 오셔서, 요단 강에서 요한에게 세례를 받으셨다.

10.  예수께서 물 속에서 막 올라오시는데, 하늘이 갈라지고, 성령이 비둘기같이 자기에게 내려오는 것을 보셨다.

11. 그리고 하늘로부터 소리가 났다. "너는 내 사랑하는 아들이다. 내가 너를 좋아한다."

12. 그리고 곧 성령이 예수를 광야로 내보내셨다.

13. 예수께서 사십 일 동안 광야에 계셨는데, 거기서 사탄에게 시험을 받으셨다. 예수께서 들짐승들과 함께 지내셨는데, 천사들이 그의 시중을 들었다.

14. 요한이 잡힌 뒤에, 예수께서 갈릴리에 오셔서, 하나님의 복음을 선포하셨다.

[9] In those days Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan.
[10] And when he came up out of the water, immediately he saw the heavens opened and the Spirit descending upon him like a dove;
[11] and a voice came from heaven, "Thou art my beloved Son; with thee I am well pleased."
[12] The Spirit immediately drove him out into the wilderness.
[13] And he was in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan; and he was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered to him.
[14] Now after John was arrested, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God,

[15] and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent, and believe in the gospel."

도마복음 3, 113

3 예수께서 말씀하시니라. "만약 너희 인도자들이 너희에게 말하길, "보라 아버지의 나라가 하늘에 있노라"고 한다면 공중의 새들이 너희를 앞설 것이요, 만일 그들이 너희에게 말하길, "아버지의 나라가 바다에 있노라"고 한다면 물고기들이 너희를 앞설 것이라. 차라리 그 나라는 너희 안에 있으며 또 너희 바깥에 있느니라."

Jesus said, "If your leaders say to you, "Look, the (Father"s) kingdom is in the sky," then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, "It is in the sea," then the fish will precede you. Rather, the kingdom is within you and it is outside you.

113 그의 제자들이 그에게 물어 가로되, "언제 그 나라가 오겠나이까?"

"그 나라는 지켜봄으로써 오지 않으리라. 이는 "보라, 여기 있다" 또는 "보라, 저기 있다"하지 않으리니 차라리 아버지의 나라는 이 땅위에 펼쳐지되 사람들이 이를 보지 않느니라."

His disciples said to him, "When will the kingdom come?"

"It will not come by watching for it. It will not be said, "Look, here!" or

"Look, there!" Rather, the Father"s kingdom is spread out upon the earth,

and people don"t see it."
