Sermon Title:
"Appetites, Desires and Love"

Scripture Reading: Psalm 37:1-11

"Appetites, Desires and Love"

Do not fret because of the wicked; do not be envious of wrongdoers,

for they will soon fade like the grass, and wither like the green herb.

Trust in the Lord, and do good; so you will live in the land, and enjoy security.

Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act.

He will make your vindication shine like the light, and the justice of your cause like the noonday.

Be still before the Lord, and wait patiently for him; do not fret over those who prosper in their way, over those who carry out evil devices.

Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath. Do not fret—it leads only to evil.

For the wicked shall be cut off, but those who wait for the Lord shall inherit the land.

Yet a little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look diligently for their place, they will not be there.

But the meek shall inherit the land, and delight themselves in abundant prosperity.

Women's Ministry Lunch - February 23rd
At the February 23rd meeting of Women's Ministry we will be decorating "Bras for a Cause", to be used for a nationally recognized fundraiser for Breast Cancer Research. Our decorated bras will be taken to the 21st Regional Women's Convocation on March 12th to be part of their display and fundraiser. Each bra that is decorated must be registered at a cost of $5.00. The women there will pay $1.00 for each vote for the best decorated.

We need sponsors to cover the cost of registration and purchase of our new bras. We are planning to decorate at least 4 bras in a variety of themes and colors. Everyone (even if you can’t attend on the 23rd) is asked to contribute whatever they have to help us with this project, for example bits of lace, ribbon, craft supplies, felt, etc. Glue guns, glue sticks and bras will be provided for use on the 23rd. Ladies - start thinking of your theme and your team, working with two or three other women. This is a time to be creative and have fun. Check out this website for examples and inspiration: Bras For A Cause

Our "Bras for a Cause" will be displayed on Sunday, March 6th for judging by our own congregation before transporting them to Convocation. Gentlemen, please "support" the women of our church as we work for a cure.
