사도행전 1:6-8

사도들이 한 자리에 모였을 때에 예수께 여쭈었다. "주님, 주님께서 이스라엘에게 나라를 되찾아 주실 때가 바로 지금입니까?"

예수께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "때나 시기는 아버지께서 아버지의 권한으로 정하신 것이니, 너희가 알 바가 아니다.

그러나 성령이 너희에게 내리시면, 너희는 능력을 받고, 예루살렘과 온 유대와 사마리아에서, 그리고 마침내 땅 끝에까지 이르러 내 증인이 될 것이다."

6 So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, is this the time when you will restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7 He replied, “It is not for you to know the times or periods that the Father has set by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

골로새서 3:9-11

서로 거짓말을 하지 마십시오. 여러분은 옛 사람을 그 행실과 함께 벗어버리고,

새 사람을 입으십시오. 이 새 사람은 자기를 창조하신 분의 형상을 따라 끊임없이 새로워져서, 참 지식에 이르게 됩니다.

거기에는 그리스인과 유대인도, 할례 받은 자와 할례받지 않은 자도, 야만인도 스구디아인도, 종도 자유인도 없습니다. 오직 그리스도만이 모든 것이며, 모든 것 안에 계십니다.

9 Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have stripped off the old self with its practices 10 and have clothed yourselves with the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge according to the image of its creator. 11 In that renewal[e]there is no longer Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and free; but Christ is all and in all!
