행10:34-43

베드로가 입을 열어 말하였다. "나는 참으로, 하나님께서는 사람을 외모로 가리지 아니하시는 분이시고, 하나님을 두려워하며, 의를 행하는 사람은 그가 어느 민족에 속하여 있든지, 다 받아 주신다는 것을 깨달았습니다. 하나님께서는 이스라엘 자손에게 말씀을 보내셨는데, 곧 예수 그리스도를 통하여 평화를 전하셨습니다. 예수 그리스도는 만민의 주님이십니다. 여러분이 아시는 대로, 이 일은 요한의 세례 사역이 끝난 뒤에, 갈릴리에서 시작하여서, 온 유대 지방에서 이루어졌습니다. 하나님께서 나사렛 예수에게 성령과 능력을 부어 주셨습니다. 이 예수는 두루 다니시면서 선한 일을 행하시고, 마귀에게 억눌린 사람들을 모두 고쳐 주셨습니다. 그것은 하나님께서 그와 함께 하셨기 때문입니다. 우리는 예수께서 유대 지방과 예루살렘에서 행하신 모든 일의 증인입니다. 사람들이 그를 나무에 달아 죽였지만, 하나님께서 그를 사흗날에 살리시고, 나타나 보이게 해주셨습니다. 그를 모든 사람에게 나타나게 하신 것이 아니라, 하나님께서 미리 택하여 주신 증인인 우리에게 나타나게 하셨습니다. 그가 죽은 사람들 가운데서 살아나신 뒤에, 우리는 그와 함께 먹기도 하고 마시기도 하였습니다. 이 예수께서 우리에게 명하시기를, 하나님께서 자기를 살아 있는 사람들과 죽은 사람들의 심판자로 정하신 것을 사람들에게 선포하고 증언하라고 하셨습니다. 이 예수를 두고 모든 예언자가 증언하기를, 그를 믿는 사람은 누구든지 그의 이름으로 죄 사함을 받는다고 하였습니다.“

Then Peter began to speak to them: ‘I truly understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him. You know the message he sent to the people of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ—he is Lord of all. That message spread throughout Judea, beginning in Galilee after the baptism that John announced: how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power; how he went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him. We are witnesses to all that he did both in Judea and in Jerusalem. They put him to death by hanging him on a tree; but God raised him on the third day and allowed him to appear, not to all the people but to us who were chosen by God as witnesses, and who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead. He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one ordained by God as judge of the living and the dead. All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.’
