주님께서 나에게 말씀하셨다. "내가 너를 모태에서 짓기도 전에 너를 선택하고, 네가 태어나기도 전에 너를 거룩하게 구별해서, 뭇 민족에게 보낼 예언자로 세웠다." 내가 아뢰었다. "아닙니다. 주 나의 하나님, 저는 말을 잘 할 줄 모릅니다. 저는 아직 너무나 어립니다." 그러나 주님께서 나에게 말씀하셨다. "너는 아직 너무나 어리다고 말하지 말아라. 내가 너를 누구에게 보내든지 너는 그에게로 가고, 내가 너에게 무슨 명을 내리든지 너는 그대로 말하여라. 너는 그런 사람들을 두려워하지 말아라. 내가 늘 너와 함께 있으면서 보호해 주겠다. 나 주의 말이다." 그런 다음에, 주님께서 손을 내밀어 내 입에 대시고, 내게 말씀하셨다. "내가 내 말을 네 입에 맡긴다. 똑똑히 보아라. 오늘 내가 뭇 민족과 나라들 위에 너를 세우고, 네가 그것들을 뽑으며 허물며, 멸망시키며 파괴하며, 세우며 심게 하였다.“

Now the word of the Lord came to me saying, ‘Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.’ Then I said, ‘Ah, Lord God! Truly I do not know how to speak, for I am only a boy.’ But the Lord said to me, ‘Do not say, “I am only a boy”; for you shall go to all to whom I send you, and you shall speak whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you, says the Lord.’ Then the Lord put out his hand and touched my mouth; and the Lord said to me, ‘Now I have put my words in your mouth. See, today I appoint you over nations and over kingdoms, to pluck up and to pull down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.’

막1:15

"때가 찼다. 하나님의 나라가 가까이 왔다. 회개하여라. 복음을 믿어라."

and saying, ‘The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near;* repent, and believe in the good news.’*
