요 1:6-8, 살전5:15

하나님께서 보내신 사람이 있었다. 그 이름은 요한이었다.  그 사람은 그 빛을 증언하러 왔으니, 자기를 통하여 모든 사람을 믿게 하려는 것이었다. 그 사람은 빛이 아니었다. 그는 그 빛을 증언하러 왔을 따름이다.

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. He came for testimony, to bear witness to the light, that all might believe through him. He was not the light, but came to bear witness to the light(요1: 6-8)

아무도 악으로 악을 갚지 말고, 도리어 서로에게, 모든 사람에게, 항상 좋은 일을 하려고 애쓰십시오.

See that none of you repays evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to all. (살전5:15)
