출19:1-6

이스라엘 자손이 이집트 땅에서 나온 뒤 셋째 달 초하룻날, 바로 그 날 그들은 시내 광야에 이르렀다. 그들은 르비딤을 떠나서, 시내 광야에 이르러, 광야에다 장막을 쳤다. 이스라엘이 그 곳 산 아래에 장막을 친 모세가 산으로 올라가 하나님께로 가니, 주님께서 산에서 그를 불러서 말씀하셨다. "너는 야곱 가문에게 이렇게 말하여라. 이스라엘 자손에게 이렇게 일러주어라. '너희는 내가 이집트 사람에게 한 일을 보았고, 또 어미독수리가 그 날개로 새끼를 업어 나르듯이, 내가 너희를 인도하여 나에게로 데려온 것도 보았다. 이제 너희가 정말로 나의 말을 듣고, 내가 세워 준 언약을 지키면, 너희는 모든 민족 가운데서 나의 보물이 될 것이다. 온 세상이 다 나의 것이다. 그러므로 너희는 내가 선택한 백성이 되고, 너희의 나라는 나를 섬기는 제사장 나라가 되고, 너희는 거룩한 민족이 될 것이다.' 너는 이 말을 이스라엘 자손에게 일러주어라.“

[1]On the third new moon after the people of Israel had gone forth out of the land of Egypt, on that day they came into the wilderness of Sinai. [2] And when they set out from Reph'idim and came into the wilderness of Sinai, they encamped in the wilderness; and there Israel encamped before the mountain. [3] And Moses went up to God, and the LORD called to him out of the mountain, saying, "Thus you shall say to the house of Jacob, and tell the people of Israel: [4] You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles' wings and brought you to myself. [5] Now therefore, if you will obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my own possession among all peoples; for all the earth is mine, [6] and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel."

엡2:14-22

그리스도는 우리의 평화이십니다. 그리스도께서는 유대 사람과 이방 사람이 양쪽으로 갈라져 있는 것을 하나로 만드신 분이십니다. 그분은 유대 사람과 이방 사람 사이를 가르는 담을 자기 몸으로 허무셔서, 원수 된 것을 없애시고, 여러 가지 조문으로 된 계명의 율법을 폐하셨습니다. 그분은 이 둘을 자기 안에서 하나의 새 사람으로 만들어서 평화를 이루시고, 원수 된 것을 십자가로 소멸하시고 이 둘을 한 몸으로 만드셔서, 하나님과 화해시키셨습니다. 그분은 오셔서 멀리 떨어져 있는 여러분에게 평화를 전하셨으며, 가까이 있는 사람들에게도 평화를 전하셨습니다. 이방 사람과 유대 사람 양쪽 모두, 그리스도를 통하여 한 성령 안에서 아버지께 나아가게 되었습니다. 그러므로 이제부터 여러분은 외국 사람이나 나그네가 아니요, 성도들과 함께 시민이며 하나님의 가족입니다. 여러분은 사도들과 예언자들이 놓은 기초 위에 세워진 건물이며, 그리스도 예수가 그 모퉁잇돌이 되십니다. 그리스도 안에서 건물 전체가 서로 연결되어서, 주님 안에서 자라서 성전이 됩니다. 그리스도 안에서 여러분도 함께 세워져서 하나님이 성령으로 거하실 처소가 됩니다.

[14] For he is our peace, who has made us both one, and has broken down the dividing wall of hostility, [15] by abolishing in his flesh the law of commandments and ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, [16] and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby bringing the hostility to an end. [17] And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near; [18] for through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. [19] So then you are no longer strangers and sojourners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, [20] built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, [21] in whom the whole structure is joined together and grows into a holy temple in the Lord; [22] in whom you also are built into it for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.
