마13:31-33; 눅17:20-21

예수께서 또 다른 비유를 들어서, 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "하늘나라는 겨자씨와 같다. 어떤 사람이 그것을 가져다가, 자기 밭에 심었다. 겨자씨는 어떤 씨보다 더 작은 것이지만, 자라면 어떤 풀보다 더 커져서 나무가 된다. 그리하여 공중의 새들이 와서, 그 가지에 깃들인다." 예수께서 또 다른 비유를 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "하늘 나라는 누룩과 같다. 어떤 여자가 그것을 가져다가, 가루 서 말 속에 살짝 섞어 넣으니, 마침내 온통 부풀어올랐다.“

31 He put before them another parable: ‘The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that someone took and sowed in his field; 32it is the smallest of all the seeds, but when it has grown it is the greatest of shrubs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.’ 33 He told them another parable: ‘The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed in with* three measures of flour until all of it was leavened.’(마13:31-33)

바리새파 사람들이 하나님의 나라가 언제 오느냐고 물으니, 예수께서 그들에게 대답을 하셨다. "하나님의 나라는 눈으로 볼 수 있는 모습으로 오지 않는다. 또 '보아라, 여기에 있다' 또는 '저기에 있다' 하고 말할 수도 없다. 보아라, 하나님의 나라는 너희 가운데에 있다.“

20 Once Jesus* was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God was coming, and he answered, ‘The kingdom of God is not coming with things that can be observed; 21nor will they say, “Look, here it is!” or “There it is!” For, in fact, the kingdom of God is among* you.’(눅17:20-21)
