옛 사랑, 새 사랑(렘31:31-34;요13:31-35)

여호와의 말씀이니라 보라 날이 이르리니 내가 이스라엘 집과 유다 집에 새 언약을 맺으리라 이 언약은 내가 그들의 조상들의 손을 잡고 애굽 땅에서 인도하여 내던 날에 맺은 것과 같지 아니할 것은 내가 그들의 남편이 되었어도 그들이 내 언약을 깨뜨렸음이라 여호와의 말씀이니라 그러나 그 날 후에 내가 이스라엘 집과 맺을 언약은 이러하니 곧 내가 나의 법을 그들의 속에 두며 그들의 마음에 기록하여 나는 그들의 하나님이 되고 그들은 내 백성이 될 것이라 여호와의 말씀이니라 그들이 다시는 각기 이웃과 형제를 가리켜 이르기를 너는 여호와를 알라 하지 아니하리니 이는 작은 자로부터 큰 자까지 다 나를 알기 때문이라 내가 그들의 악행을 사하고 다시는 그 죄를 기억하지 아니하리라 여호와의 말씀이니라

"Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, not like the covenant which I made with their fathers when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant which they broke, though I was their husband, says the LORD. But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put my law within them, and I will write it upon their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And no longer shall each man teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, `Know the LORD,' for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, says the LORD; for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more." (렘31:31-34)

그가 나간 후에 예수께서 이르시되 지금 인자가 영광을 받았고 하나님도 인자로 말미암아 영광을 받으셨도다 만일 하나님이 그로 말미암아 영광을 받으셨으면 하나님도 자기로 말미암아 그에게 영광을 주시리니 곧 주시리라 작은 자들아 내가 아직 잠시 너희와 함께 있겠노라 너희가 나를 찾을 것이나 일찍이 내가 유대인들에게 너희는 내가 가는 곳에 올 수 없다고 말한 것과 같이 지금 너희에게도 이르노라 새 계명을 너희에게 주노니 서로 사랑하라 내가 너희를 사랑한 것 같이 너희도 서로 사랑하라 너희가 서로 사랑하면 이로써 모든 사람이 너희가 내 제자인 줄 알리라

When he had gone out, Jesus said, "Now is the Son of man glorified, and in him God is glorified; if God is glorified in him, God will also glorify him in himself, and glorify him at once. Little children, yet a little while I am with you. You will seek me; and as I said to the Jews so now I say to you, `Where I am going you cannot come.' A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." (요13:31-35)
