Sermon Title:
"The Tensions of Faith:
Solitude and Community"

Scripture Reading: Genesis 2:18; Matthew 6:5-6

Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper as his partner."

“And whenever you pray, do not be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, so that they may be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward. But whenever you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

Where Are My 2011 Offering Envelopes?
Several people have asked about offering envelopes for the new year.  We did not order any numbered and dated offering envelopes for 2011.  However, we will continue to keep a record of your giving and send you an annual letter of receipt for tax purposes.  You can use an envelope from the pew or one of last year’s leftover envelopes  -- as long as your name or envelope number is on it, we can keep track.

If you would like to begin using a giving number or if you have any questions, please ask me.
