The Christian Church(DOC)—믿음과 실천 사항

¨       매주 성찬을 드리며, 예수 그리스도를 믿는 모든 사람은 누구나 성찬에 참여할 수 있습니다.

¨       예수 그리스도를 구주로 믿는 사람들은 하느님이 주신 이성과 양심에 따라 성령의 도움으로 성서를 해석하며, 타인의 성서해석도 존중합니다.

¨       세례는 침례를 원칙으로 하는데 이는 침례는 자기 중심의 옛 자아는 버리고, 하느님 안에서 믿음의 새로운 삶이 시작되기 때문입니다. 그러나 다른 세례 전통도 인정합니다.

¨       모든 기독교인은 그리스도 안에서 하나로 부름을 받았으며, 공동의 증인과 봉사의 기회를 추구합니다.

¨       만인 제사장 원칙을 가지고 안수 받은 목사와 평신도들이 함께 예배와 교육, 봉사와 선교, 영적 성장을 도모하고 참여합니다.

A. 왜 이런 일(생각=>교단)이 생겼나?

1. 배경

·     John Locke’s A Letter Concerning Toleration (1689) => 국가가 종교를 간섭하지 않음=> 개인의 자유와 권리 수호=> 독립선언문(1776)

·     영국의 경험주의(empiricism) 철학사조=> 미국의 실용주의(pragmatism). 

·     초기 제자회 슬로건. In essentials, Unity; In non-essentials, Liberty; and in all things, Charity." (공통분모=> 우리 모두는 그리스도인=> 교리의 속박으로부터 해방=> Unity. 성서해석의 자유)

B. 믿음과 신조(?)—세례와 성만찬

1. 세례 이해하기

·     Washing (막 1:4) => 죄사함, sprinkling, pouring (Westminster Confession)

·     Burial/death (롬 6:3-5) => immersion (침례); 그 의미는 ①세상(의 이데올로기)에 대해 내가 죽음(롬 7:1-6; 갈 2:19-20); ② exorcism(마귀—지배이데올로기—축출, 막1:25; 5:8)

·     그 외: Sectarian membership (=> 인두조사)

2. 성만찬

·     Memorial/remembrance (anamnesis)=> 고전 11:24-25; cf. Luke 22:19 do this in remembrance of me => 출 20:8 (기억하라? => 신 5:15, 지키라!)

·     막 14:22-24 (막 6장: 오병이어)=> 하느님 나라 만들기, 생활하기

·        Community building (response to God's grace); requires responsibility
